The Pharmacy Program Academic Coordinator Prof. Annabelle Callano was donned ASIA’S BEST ORAL RESEARCH PRESENTER – DIAMOND AWARD (First Prize) and ASIA’S BEST IN POWERPOINT PRESENTATION – DIAMOND AWARD (First Prize) by the 2012 International Conference on Social Sciences, Health and Environment (ICOSSHE), in JW Marriott Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.
Soon to shed her ‘Most Eligible Bachelorette’ status, Prof. Callano also garnered the event’s BEST DRESSED RESEARCHER – DIAMOND AWARD (First Prize).
With the theme Recognition of Individual Differences, Protection of Human Rights, and Nourishing a Sustainable Environment, ICOSSHE 2012 showcased more than forty selected research findings of social workers and scientists and policy makers from around Asia. Prof. Callano won the mentioned awards for her research entitled RANCIDITY OF USED COOKING OIL AND HEAVY METAL ANALYSIS ON STREET-VENDED FOODS.
The three-day conference was organized by the International Association of Multidisciplinary Research (IAMURE), with the Keynote speech delivered by Mr. Timothy Dixon of Anglo Japanese American (AJA) Registrars which, by ISO 9001:2008 requirements, have attested and recommended the following scope of certification for the Philippine-based IAMURE: journal evaluation, journal publication, and organization of research conferences.
The three-day conference brought together research professionals from China, India, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand.
